Measuring approximately 13" long, 6" wide, and 2.75" deep, this hand-sculpted Rainbow Trout captures the essence of freshwater life—fluid, wild, and glimmering with mystery. Shaped by the hands of artists Alan and Rosemary Bennett, and brought to life through the centuries-old raku firing process, no two fish are ever the same. In this dramatic technique, the trout is fired in a gas kiln until it glows molten red at 1850°F. It is then swiftly moved into a reduction chamber, where flame, smoke, and a sudden absence of oxygen transform the surface—black crackles creep across the body, and flashes of metallic luster emerge like scales catching light. After its dance with fire, the trout is cooled with water and gently cleaned, revealing a finish as unpredictable as nature itself. Display indoors to preserve its unique character. This trout is not just a sculpture—it’s a moment suspended between earth, water, and fire. Details Measures approximately 13" long, 6" wide, and 2.75" deep Hand-
