USDA Cold Hardiness Zone: 5 Native Range: East Asia. Soil: Consistently moist, not soggy. Neutral pH. Light: Full sun to light shade. Height in the Garden: Up to 45'  Attributes: Broadleaf, deciduous, small tree that is fantastic in the landscape and for bonsai culture.  Notes: This will make a metium size, leaning tree with fast taper and  good roots. The trees in this batch are planted low to encourage root development. The trees were cut back early August, 2025 to encourage backbudding. Needs wound treatment; they close quickly with cut past and vigorous growth. Uses: Medium to small size bonsai tree.
