Gradual Brioche Pattern

The Gradual Brioche Shawl walks you through the steps of knitting brioche. It starts simply with the mechanics of sliding stitches on the needles and gradually adds skills/techniques until you are increasing and decreasing confidently with brioche knitting. The shawl is a shallow crescent shape, allowing it to drape comfortably over the shoulders or be wrapped in a scarf style around the neck. Before beginning this pattern, you should have confidence in knit and purl stitches, picking up stitches from an i-cord, knit front back increases, purl front back increases, yarn over increases, knit two together decreases, purl two together decreases, and knitting an i-cord bind off. The pattern comes in two versions, one with standard formatting, and one with the instructions written out in words. Both patterns include brioche charts for easy reference.
