Vinca Minor 'Bowles" also called periwinkle is the perfect evergreen groundcover for shade to part shade areas. Excellent under growth plant for wooded areas or naturalizing the landscape in indirect sun. Once established vinca minor can tolerate semi dry conditions. Only reaching a mature height of 6" when full grown, but will spread rapidly once established. The initial spring growth is the most aggressive but it will continue to spread during the season. The true blue flower is exquisite and can be profuse in the spring on established plants. It will flower sporadically during the season with cooler weather. Survives in zone 4 to 8. Can be utilized on slopes for erosion control once established. Spacing is all dependent on how fast you chose the area to fill in. Culture Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soil in full shade to part shade. Tolerates close to full shade. Prefers moist, humus soils in part shade. Plant 8" apart for quick cover of smaller areas. P
