PBN Strip, Pyrolytic Boron Nitride Strip
Pyrolytic Boron Nitride (PBN) strip, also known as Pyrolytic Boron Nitride tape, is a high-performance material widely used in the semiconductor, aerospace, and defense industries. PBN strip is made by Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) of boron nitride on a substrate under high temperature and low pressure. PBN strip has excellent thermal stability and high thermal conductivity, making it an ideal material for high-temperature applications, such as thermal insulation, crucibles, and furnace components. PBN strip can withstand temperatures up to 1800°C in a vacuum environment and 1500°C in an oxidizing atmosphere. In addition to its high-temperature resistance, PBN strip has a low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) and excellent electrical insulation properties. These properties make it an ideal material for use in applications where dimensional stability and electrical insulation are critical, such as in the production of semiconductor wafers.
