藏枝红; Zhang Zhi Hong; Tibetan Red/Red Flower Hidden Among Twigs'. Fully-double purple-red, lustrous, 6"-7" blossom; the outer petals whorled, slightly large, stiff, suffused with dark-purple flare at the base; the inner petals wrinkled, regular, crowded, a few stamens grow among the petals; pistils small or developed, petaloid, greenish. Matures near 5' tall and wide. One of the most fine in this color group. (Zhaolou Peony Garden, 1963). EXTREMELY LIMITED. Zones 4-8. Bare roots available only in LATE FALL and WINTER.
