Harkening on bespoke tailoring elements, the designer renders a combination of garments that are traditionally and classically elegant. The jacket is constructed in a luxurious cotton that can easily be sported throughout the year. It is partially lined and features 3 buttons for the front closure and functional buttons on the cuffs of the sleeve. In a clever fashion, Margiela plays with the idea of the traditional 3 roll 2 suit, which is intended to have all 3 buttons placed on the jacket with the intent of primarily using the middle button for closure. The designer has intentionally placed buttonholes alongside the jacket with the top and bottom buttons being intentionally sewn shut.
