95 points Jeb Dunnuck I continue to just love this vintage, and the 2009 Côte-Rôtie La Landonne from René is a sensational bottle of wine that northern Rhône lovers should seek out. Beautifully concentrated, yet fresh and elegant, with full-bodied aromas and flavors of black raspberries, spring flowers, crushed rocks and spice, it’s already approachable (which is unusual by this cuvée’s standards) and can be drunk anytime over the coming two decades. 95+ (2/2018) 95 points Wine Spectator This has depth and ripeness, but stays defined, with an almost searing iron spine cutting through the core of plum, blackberry and currant fruit. The long finish lets bay leaf, tobacco and chestnut notes fill in. Showing great drive and intensity, this is still very youthful now and will benefit from extended cellaring.
