About this Artwork This artwork is my fourth in a series of Intel's microprocessors. These Intel microprocessors represent Intel’s non-x86 architecture microprocessors. For a company known for microprocessors, these microprocessors have not had much press. Whereas Intel wanted to make sure the public wanted its microprocessors in their PCs, these microprocessors were hidden from the public’s eye. Not on purpose, but because the customers for these microprocessors were car makers, automation equipment makers, PDA makers, phone makers, robot makers, etc. These chips were not targeted at consumers but at the companies that made things consumers wanted. Intel was there to make their lives easier and their products better. Some Intel families are prefixed with MCS for Micro Computer System. The Intel x86 architecture was the MCS-86 family.
