Gates & Co Collaboration Color Study I

Before a single final design was chosen, I painted these studies by hand—each one an exploration of the color palette, rhythm, and mood that would ultimately define the collection. These pieces aren’t just inspiration—they were the actual works I brought into our in-person meetings with Erin and her team. Each brushstroke helped spark conversation, direct feedback, and shape the visual direction of our collaboration. The deep green-blacks, slate and dusty blues, mossy greens, and creamy beiges in these works reflect Erin’s signature aesthetic: timeless, tailored, and rooted in natural tones that feel at home in both classic and modern interiors.
