Flying Flamingos, The Bahamas It seems funny to say, but until earlier this year, it had not occurred to me that flamingos could actually fly.  I had always seen them in a zoo setting in the US.  It was so stunning to see them in flight, in real life, in the Bahamas and such a surprise!  It’s also amazing and a joy the things I continue to learn as I get older—something new every day! I painted three flamingo paintings for the Endless Summer collection, all in flight! I named this painting “Luminous” because I experimented with a new medium while creating and I noticed something magical in the way it picks up the light. Original artwork on gallery wrapped premium canvas. 1 1/2 inch edges are painted and painting is wired and ready to hang.
