A Cistus introduction. From a small desert oasis NE of Baker City in eastern Oregon, this colony, nearly eradicated by highway development, is from a single clump of about 18" wide by 4" tall, with pretty hay and mahogany colored spines and occasionally cheery yellow flowers.
