Side one featuring two cool originals, a pair of power-pop numbers clearly showing this young band has plenty to offer...the flipside offering two covers, the version of Captain Beefheart's 1967 "I'm Glad" fairly faithful, sounding like it could be from a band of teenagers in July 1967 who were much more excited about Safe as Milk than Sgt. Pepper (the two albums released only weeks apart) and decided to record a concise version of "I'm Glad" on their dad's reel-to-reel in the basement with some wonderful results that surfaced decades later...this doo-woppy number contrasted with the last cut on this EP, notching the tempo back up to what we heard on the first side with a version of "Turning Japanese" originally by English outfit The Vapors in 1980, this version pretty faithful, but
