Mid-cenutry barrel chair designed by Edward Wormley for Drexel, Precedent Collection features a black lacquered walnut frame with off-white cords that are woven into the back as an innovative take on spindles. The seat is newly upholstered in a light grey tweed with a hint of mint. It's an elegant accent chair for any decor. American designer Edward Wormley (1907-1995) gained success as a furniture designer with the collections he designed for the Dunbar Furniture Manufacturing Corp. in Berne, Indiana. This armchair designed for Drexel, was the first he designed for a furniture company other than Dunbar and was part of the Precedent Collection. Refinished and newly upholstered.
