AVID Jazz has cleaned up and stream-lined it’s original Benny Goodman 4CD Box Set of the Famous 1938 Carnegie Hall Concert AMBX151 (which has now been deleted).AVID Jazz presents the latest release in our Classic Concert Series with a newly re-mastered 2CD set of the Famous 1938 Carnegie Hall Jazz Concert in its original released running order, complete with original artwork, liner notes and personnel details. We also include two tracks that were omitted from the original LP releases. Plus we are also proud to include a re-mastered selection of the best tracks from the Benny Goodman Orchestra, Trio and Quartet album Jazz Concert No.2, 1937-38, in chronological order. As with the Carnegie Hall Jazz Concert, these ‘live’ recordings have been restored using the latest digital technology. Some surface noise has been retained in order to preserve the original atmosphere and ambience of the vintage source material.
