2019 Andremily Syrah No. 8
98-100 Points Jeb DunnuckAnother magical wine in the lineup, the 2019 No 8 is Syrah-based, with 9% Mourvèdre and 3% Viognier. There should be a little over 800 cases produced, and it was 55% destemmed and is still resting in 65% new French oak. I love its freshness and elegance, and it’s one of those rare incredibly hedonistic yet seamless, weighty wines that does everything right. Pure cassis, blackberries, smoked meats, and white pepper slowly emerge on the nose, and it’s full-bodied, with perfect balance and a great, great finish. 95-97 Points Robert Parker's Wine AdvocateThe 2019 No. 8 is a barrel sample blend of 88% Syrah, 9% Mourvedre and 3% Viognier, coming from White Hawk vineyard (Cat Canyon), Alta Mesa vineyard (Santa Barbara County), Larner vineyard (Ballard Canyon) and Harrison-Clarke vineyard (Ballard Canyon). The wine was vinified using 45% whole cluster and aged for around 22 months in 65% new French oak barrique and 35% used French barrique. The alcohol is 15.2%. Deep p
