
Prairie Moon Necklace No. 2
Thanks to Remi, we’ve all become a little obsessed with the moon. His constant chant of “oom, oom, oom” keeps her top of mind, always. We look for her as we wander our land - watching daily as she grows to full and then shrinks back to a sliver that seemingly winks out of existence. Remi is right to be fascinated - the moon is a thing of mystery, a slow drama endlessly unfolding. I’ve been working on this pair of moon necklaces for a couple of months - navigating through joy and grief and frustration during their crafting. It’s been a comfort to have my studio to come back to, the tools and rhythms my hands know well, when things feel like they’re falling or when I’m trying to build back up.
