Provider Practice: Domestic Violence and Dependent Abuse, Florida

This learning activity provides an overview of domestic violence, laws and regulations that impact healthcare providers and professionals, screening and assessment methods, at-risk populations, and more. After completing this learning activity, the participant should be able to: Define domestic violence and the types of violence that occur. Recognize laws and regulations that pertain to domestic violence and its impact on healthcare. Indicate how to use assessment and screening methods to best identify at-risk populations and provide safety in practice settings.
