A cooperative in northern part of Peru, El Gran Saposoa was founded with a clear vision to improve the production and trade of cacao without harming the environment and seeking to improve the quality of life of the cacao farmers through social assistance. The farmers in this region came together and pursued various training and certification programs, including organic certification.
