EC022: Echinocereus engelmannii ssp decumbens COLD HARDY CACTUS

A gorgeous form of Strawberry Hedgehog that is a variant of the regular form. This is a very spiny species with extra long, dark central spines. The spines on the lower portion of the plant turn almost black, giving it a unique appearance. Forms large plants with numerous heads. 4-8" high and wide. Huge fuchsia flowers in May with prominent green stigmas form large, DELICIOUS spiny fruits. Hardy to zone 5b. Coconino Co., AZ. Sold in a 2.5" pot. Common name: Long-Spined Strawberry Hedgehog Cactus
