
Jaeger-Lecoultre Master Ultra-Thin - *Unpolished*
Jaeger-Lecoultre often referred to as the "watchmaker of watchmakers" is a brand we see deserving of much more discussion in the vintage community. Their recent release of "The Collectibles" – a capsule collection of their vintage highlights has been a welcome reminder of their incredible heritage. Without question, this ref. 145.8.79.S is our favorite Master Ultra Thin model for its gorgeous and minimalist dial layout. We'd even go as far as calling this "the 1016 of dress watches." These models housed the cal. 849 manual-winding JLC caliber which measures just 1.85mm thick. This reliable and ultra-thin movement allowed for an impressively thin case of just 5.4mm, adding to the elegance of this piece. To boot, these were also rated to 5 atmospheres, making them practical to wear on rainy days.
