The pendant features a pyrized ammonite fossil which has undergone pyritization where iron pyrite replaces the ammonite's shell structure cell by cell. It is a form of fossilization that results in a beautiful golden color and gleam. This artful take on the cephalopod has the fossil wrapped in thick sterling silver and hung on a textured popcorn style chain.
