Having essentially retired from large scale touring by the early 1980s, it wasn't until the mid-1990s, when his music was rediscovered, sampled and reissued by the Acid Jazz generation, that Brian Auger put together a new Oblivion Express band and went back on the road to be greeted with an ecstatic reception wherever he and his trusty Hammond B3 organ appeared. This continued for the next 10 years, as the new Oblivion Express, featuring his son Karma on drums and daughters Ali and then Savannah on vocals, played 1970s jazz-fusion classics to audiences of original and new fans.
