GE VMIVME-5599-000 / VMIVME5599 332-005599-000 Automatic Fiber-Optic Bypass Switch: Description: The GE Fanuc / VMIC VMIVME-5599 Automatic Fiber-Optic Bypass Switch is designed to bypass nodes in a fiber-optic network, such as the VMIVME-5576 or the VMIVME-5588. It allows the network to remain functional even if one node loses power. The VMIVME-5599 plugs into the same VMEbus backplane where the VMIVME-5576 or VMIVME-5588 is installed. In case of power loss, it automatically routes the incoming fiber-optic signal to the output fiber without passing through any active components. The VMIVME-5599 can bypass indefinitely without power.
