Jean-Paul Versino produces excellent, traditionally-styled Chateauneuf from all 13 permitted varieties. The grapes are not destemmed, and the wine ages in large foudres before bottling. A soulful wine that favors grace over power, but still possesses enough sappy red berry fruit and a hint of barnyard earth that makes this appellation so special.
