Liposomal ALC and R-ALA - Capsules (90 Count/ 30 Servings)
Product Description α-lipoic acid (ALA, thioctic acid) is a natural molecule found in plant, animal, and humans cells. Alpha Lipoic Acid helps convert glucose (carbohydrates) into energy (ATP) and has powerful antioxidant potential protecting mitochondria (where energy is made) from free radical damage. ALA's benefits healthy feet and nerves and have been studied in connection to diabetic polyneuropathy-associated pain and paresthesia. Plain powder ALA has a short half-life and poor absorption (about 30%) because of poor solubility and instability in the stomach. Our liposomal formulation, in which sheaths of phospholipid protect the ALA, dramatically improve alpha lipoic acid absorption. The R-ALA version (isomer) of ALA shows the best bioavailability. Although made by the human body in very low amounts, the ALA quantities produced are not sufficient to fulfill the energy requirement of the cell. Thus, it is mostly obtained from diet or supplementation What is Acetyl-L-Carnitine? Acet
