These individually wrapped 8 gram mini cakes of aged white tea are harvested from the ancient trees that grow naturally, without the use of pesticides, on the hills of Xishuang Banna in southern Yunnan.  This tea is a rarity, as the leaves of this tea are generally used to produce puer, or, occasionally, black tea.  This tea would generally be categorized as a bai mudan/white peony, in that it consists of a mixture of fuzzy, inner bud leaves and more mature outer leaves, though bai mudan/white peony is generally used  in reference to white teas from Fujian, on the other side of China.  Dry, the aroma of this tea is sweet and sour, reminiscent of fruit leather, hawthorn, candy cap mushrooms, and eucalyptus.  Its flavor is sweet, tart, and fruity, reminiscent of apricot, hawthorn fruit leather, apple-pear, and phoenix wulongs.  As is the case with most white teas, its texture begins silky and becomes somewhat more astringent as the brews progress.  Its brew ranges from a honey gold to a
