Artist Statement When I found out that greyhound racing was finally made illegal in Florida it shocked me to the core that it was still going on in the first place. Honoring the justice these beautiful animals surely deserve, now more than ever anyone who is looking to adopt a fur baby into their home, please consider these sweet babies into your hearts. The shelters and rescues in our countries are already overflowing due to the overpopulation of these animals (including cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, horses, and many dogs) there is a high concern that many of these loyal animals will be put down due to lack of space. This is why I chose this topic for the #menagerie challenge for all the retired and abused greyhounds that will need rescuing, adopting, fostering, and loving in the next few months.
