Calcite - Red These beautiful, RED CALCITE STONES are NOT fire engine red.  They are a brownish red, which is the normal color for red calcite (I mentioned this because some buyers in the past returned the stones they purchased because they didn't like the shade of red.  Please see the photos.  They are rough - not polished and not sorted, so impurities can be expected, although these look very clean.  There might be a few bits of string or wood.  Calcite is a soft stone so there will be a small amount of dust and tiny broken pieces by the time it reaches you.  Please expect this. These stones have been acid washed to remove matrix and bring out the waxy glow of the calcite. SIZE:  Small to Medium - Most are between 1/2 and 1 inch long.
