Tillandsia Silver Trinket (Tillandsia ionantha x Tillandsia chiapensis) Tropiflora clone

Origins: John Arden hybrid Bloom: Short, compound inflorescence with many small stemless bracts emerging from the center and purple tubular flowers  Light: Strong indirect or filtered light, some direct light okay Water: Spray or dunk twice a week, allow to dry within 6-8 hours.  Soak monthly to rehydrate up to 4 hours as necessary   A staple of the collecting community and a combination of two of the more popular species in cultivation.  This is a beautiful, compact hybrid with a tight, slightly upright growth habit, densely covered in trichomes.  This clone came from Tropiflora. It tends to grow more upright with a more closed rosette than the Bird Rock clone. This clone also typically only produces color during bloom, while the Bird Rock clone stays red year round
