+ $5 Materials Fee 260211 - For Beginners  - Traditional Hispanic New Mexican embroidery using crewel wool yarns on homespun cotton fabric. Historical examples were created with indigo blue and local vegetable dyed wool threads on hand woven cotton cloth which imitated expensive, imported silk fabrics. Common motifs are reminiscent of Talavera tiles, all created with a simple laid stitch. Create a Colcha stitched pincushion and vicariously escape to the sunny Land of Enchantment.
