Like late 915s, 930s, G50s, 964s. Although older boxes and race cars with steel inserts need them fairly often too. Also all center sections are aluminum bores and let go frequently, but less than bellhousings since theyre up front and cooler. -Some gearbox builders will tell you that its ok to loctite the bearing race in to stop it from spinning. While very half assed, this may occasionally work in a pinch in a slightly spun bore in a bellhousing with a steel insert embedded into it. But it most certainly never works anywhere else.
