Bowl #01 XXL Raku Kintsugi Decorative Bowl (Big Bowl Series)
This may be the most beautiful raku results I've ever achieved. You really have to hold this bowl to understand how incredibly stunning it is. In every single light the colors change completely, sometimes covered in coppers and light tones and sometimes blasting with turquoises and blues and silvers with copper accents. The bottom side came out with rich metallic copper. It's a truly stunning piece. Add to that the fact that it was broken and then fixed with Kintsugi, a Japanese method of mending pottery to show that just because something was once broken, doesn't mean it can't be worth even more and be all the more beautiful when it is put back together. It's a message we like around these parts. Always cloth-clean Kintsugi pottery with warm water and no soaps or chemicals. The epoxy used with Kintsugi is stronger than the clay itself, but you'll wanna keep the metallic shine strong on the Kintsugi lines!
