Disanthus cercidifolius, Redbud Hazel

In the Witch Hazel family, and a native to China and Japan, Disanthus is a rounded shrub with blue-green nearly round foliage that becomes a tapestry of glorious colors in the autumn shade garden: reds, oranges, yellows, purples, pinks. It's slightly fragrant, with tiny, deep red-purple starry flowers on stems in fall.
