Produced by Jim McLean and released on his Nevis Records label in 1972, 'The Singing Nolans' included all 10 members of The Nolan family; mother and father Maureen and Tommy, brothers Tommy Junior and Brian, and all 6 sisters; Anne, Denise, Maureen, Linda, Bernadette and Coleen. Recorded in a single day at London's Regent Sound Studios on Denmark Street, the album included selections from the group's popular club act. Highlights include covers of the recent hits 'I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing', 'Mother of Mine' and that year's Eurovision entry 'Beg, Steal or Borrow'. Also included is an expansive medley from 'The Sound of Music' and a powerful and dramatic pairing of 'Danny Boy' and 'My Ain Folk'.
