Clasping Coneflower is a close cousin to Black-Eyed Susan, and is just as adaptable. Bold and colorful blooms! Note: This is the same wildflower that is also sometimes referred to by the botanical name Dracopis rudbeckia amplexicaulis. Native Texas Coneflower Clasping is very easy to grow. Often found along drainage or bottom land farm fields. Flower petals can be solid yellow or yellow with some reddish brown near the cone portion. Grows well from Georgia to Texas. Blooms April through June. Annual. For best results, plant in the fall to bloom in mid to late spring. Blooms in about 90 days. Germination rate is about 70% or better.
