This whiskey undergoes a secondary aging process in custom toasted new oak barrels, crafted in collaboration with Independent Stave Company. The unique toasting process involves an extended toasting period, followed by a rapid increase in heat to embed phenols into the barrel's surface, imparting subtle smoky notes that complement the rye's inherent spice and sweetness.
