Matsui Single Malt Mizunara Cask

This Single Malt distilled at the Kurayoshi Distillery is matured in ex-Bourbon barrels and then transferred to Bourbon barrels that have had the heads swapped out for Mizunara Oak for the last few months of maturation. Un-chillfiltered, Natural Color. 14-19 months old. On the label, Katsushika Hokusai’s masterpiece, “Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji”. In this classic artwork, the wondrous Mount Fuji is depicted with red-crowned cranes, native to Japan. We believe this iconic image matches the oriental taste of our Mizunara cask whisky.
