Feet in the air - fibre wrapped embroidery on linen

This was a very fun experiment that turned out really awesome! I made one of my classic mule pieces a lot larger and decided to frame it by wrapping the hoop in hand dyed merino and alpaca wool in a gorgeous lavender colour.The texture on this piece is unreal! This piece has been hand embroidered from the first stitch to the last by me using 100% cotton DMC embroidery floss on a very rich mustard linen background. I also used some special neon thread for the chain stitched halo. I'm curious if it would glow under black light! I take so much care making these one of a kind pieces perfect for you. I hope you love this as much as I loved stitching it.  This is a hand embroidered piece of art measuring 7 inches in diameter. The piece comes framed and backed with felt and a handstitched signature 'Q'. It's ready to hang by a cute piece of wool.
