Spring’s Night

This quilt was inspired by spring and how it is always a time of bustling energy in preparation for garden plantings and enjoying the first floral blooms. "Spring's Night" quilt uses lots of fun, garden-themed fabrics. I used many different prints with varying shades of green. I love all the cute fabrics. Most of these fabrics are from an Italian manufacturer, so the weave and hand are super soft. The piecing uses stars and 4 patch blocks. For the top quilting, I machine stitched straight lines so as not to take away from the busyness of the prints and the stars. I love top quilting that brings a sense of peace to the overall quilt and doesn't detract from the piecing. It measures 99" x 100" so it would fit both a queen bed with 19" of drape along the sides or a king bed with 11" of drape along the sides. The quilt is pictured on a queen bed for reference. Inside is a warm, yet lightweight 80% cotton/20% polyester batting that is warm, yet breathable. It is super squishy and snuggly.
