The Land: Cerasuolo di Vittoria, Sicily’s only DOCG, lies in the island’s southeastern corner, where dry, sun-drenched days meet cooling Mediterranean breezes. The vineyards, planted on a mix of sandy clay and limestone, sit at moderate elevations, ensuring freshness and balance in the wine. This terroir accentuates the bright aromatics of Frappato while lending depth and structure to Nero d’Avola, creating a wine that is both vibrant and age-worthy. The Wine: A blend of 60% Nero d’Avola and 40% Frappato, fermented with native yeasts in concrete tanks. No temperature control, no fining, no filtration—just pure, expressive fruit.
