Hesperaloe parviflora 'Red Yucca' is an evergreen perennial succulent that resembles a yucca plant. It features long, blue-green, sword-like leaves that grow up to 2-3 ft (60-90 cm) in length. Unlike yucca plants, these leaves are spineless and have fibrous threads along their edges. In colder weather and dry conditions, the foliage can take on purple or reddish-bronze hues. From late spring to midsummer, slender stalks up to 5 ft (150 cm) tall display bell-shaped, coral red to pink flowers that attract hummingbirds.
