It is used for FTTx point-to-point (P2P) links, last-mile installation and troubleshooting, FTTA fiber-DAS installations and other network testing. The unit has a 7" outdoor-enhanced touchscreen, 2GB of internal memory (20,000 OTDR traces), two USB 2.0 ports, RJ45 LAN 10/100 Mbit/s interfaces and APC connector with swappable SC adapter. The Swap-Out connector health can be checked with an onboard diagnostic tool and easily changed. The OTDR has a 0.9m event dead zone and 3.6m attenuation dead zone.
