Naga Shell Om Mani Mala

  There are many styles and sizes of naga shell beads available in Kathmandu, and they all come from Nagaland.   This amazing 108-bead mala is made with very special naga shell beads, individually hand-knotted, and finished with a red tassel.  It also features 3 carnelian marker beads with the mantra of compassion, Om Mani Padme Hum, in Tibetan script. The naga/conch shell represents the fame of the Buddha's teaching, which spreads in all directions like the sound of the conch trumpet.  It is a symbol that fearlessly proclaims the truth about the dharma. Mala measures approximately 42 inches around.  Beads are 8mm.  Tassel is about 4 inches.  Made in Nepal.
