Missile Command (Tele-Games version) is an arcade-style shoot 'em up game for the Atari 2600. Released as part of the Sears Tele-Games label, it tasks players with defending six cities from a barrage of incoming ballistic missiles. Using a trackball (in arcades) or joystick (on the Atari 2600), players move a crosshair across the sky to launch counter-missiles from three batteries, which explode in a circular pattern to intercept and detonate enemy projectiles. Successive levels increase in difficulty with faster missiles and new threats like smart bombs. Compare on Price Charting
