Design Outside the Lines - Taos, NM June 22-27 2025

Situated at the end of a quiet road not far from the center of town, The Mabel Dodge Luhan House, a historic adobe, looks out across Taos pueblo property with a view of the sacred Taos Mountain.  Guest Teacher: Karin Graves  "I use a fluid approach to paint linen and fashion it into garments. Using a projector in a dark room, I cast forms from nature and symbols from math and script onto linen and paint them with black textile paint. I draw on images that evoke the energy of murmuration and the intricacies of nature.  I’m inspired by the murmuration of birds because it reflects my creative process.  My ideas and images dip, turn, expand and contract in my imagination and flow through my thread and paint into artistic forms.
