Mini GT RUF CTR Yellowbird - Chase

Each model is produced in full diecast metal to deliver quality construction you can feel in the palm of your hand. This is the chase version of this car, meaning that it is extremely rare. Of the 4800 Mini GT RUF CTR Yellowbirds produced, only 200 of those are chase cars. The chase car features the same blister packaging and body as the normal car but can be distinguished by its yellow wheels. Based on the 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2, the CTR (Group C Turbo Ruf) is Ruf's take on a classic Porsche. Ruf managed to over double the power output of the comparable Carrera 3.2 while also weighing in at just over 2,500lbs. At one point, the CTR held the unofficial lap record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Nicknamed the Yellowbird after its recognizable paint job, Ruf only made around 60 of these cars. 29 were built from the ground up from a chassis purchased from Porsche and an estimated 20-30 from customer cars, making for a true unicorn collector's car today.
