Original Watercolor Painting About the Artwork Point Pinos Lighthouse is located in Pacific Grove California. Just south of Monterey, it’s the oldest lighthouse on the Pacific coast. Since it's the oldest lighthouse on the west coast, I thought I'd try to portray it as it might have looked when it was first commissioned in 1855, when the lighthouse was supplied by sea and it was a trek through the wilderness to reach it by land.
