Learn to Bake Sourdough

Learn the art of baking delicious sourdough bread in this hands-on workshop. Baking bread is both science and craft and you'll learn the secrets to creating warm, crusty loaves that will impress your friends and family. This workshop will cover creating and nurturing a sourdough starter, tools, ingredients, prep, baking and troubleshooting. During the workshop, we will bake and eat a loaf that's been prepared the previous day, while starting your own dough to take and bake at home the following day. Your class fee includes a glass jar with our well developed starter, a banneton (proofing basket) to use and keep, plus written instructions and recipes. Please bring the following supplies to class: 1) a large mixing bowl 2) a kitchen towel 3) an apron (optional). We will have spatulas, scales, measuring cups, etc. for class use. Ages 12+ with adult.
