Boomer Life: If I Could Save Time in a Bottle by Kathy Hanson
From Kathy Hanson Sawyer County Record columnist Kathy Hanson has a new book out — a collection of her Boomer columns. Hanson said the idea for her columns had been in her head for some time. “It percolated in my head for a while,” she said. “I was at an age when I started to notice myself and the world had changed so much since I was a kid. A lot of things were obsolete yet vivd in my mind. Most of them are good memories.“ But I was confident. I knew enough of the population in Sawyer County that a majority of them are Boomers.” Strictly speaking, a Boomer was someone born between 1946 and 1964, although for Hanson it’s a little less exact than that. She said you could add five to 10 years at either end and someone can still be a Boomer. The 388-page book covers 126 column that include personal stories as well as scientific studies about how people age. And she’ll take a column idea from just about anywhere.
